From Paris: Normandy D-Day Beaches Day Trip by Coach - Pointe du Hoc & Arromanches

Board an air-conditioned coach at 18 Avenue de Suffren in Paris and travel about 2.5 hours to Normandy. Your English-speaking guide accompanies you all day and shares the background of the Allied landings of June 6, 1944.

Walk Pointe du Hoc and Omaha Beach

The first stop is Pointe du Hoc, one of the most strategically important sites of the Allied landings. Spend about an hour at the place where US Army Rangers climbed the cliffs under heavy fire on June 6, 1944. Then walk Omaha Beach with your guide, where American troops faced fierce resistance.

Honor the fallen at the Normandy American Cemetery

Spend about an hour at the Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, overlooking Omaha Beach. Walk among more than 9,000 white crosses and Stars of David honoring soldiers who gave their lives in the Battle of Normandy, and visit the memorial, chapel and Garden of the Missing.

Return to Paris via Arromanches and Juno Beach

In Arromanches, see the remains of the Mulberry harbour, the artificial port the Allies built to bring in supplies after the landings. After a lunch of Normandy specialties such as crêpes and cider, stop at Juno Beach, where Canadian troops landed, depending on the day's schedule, before returning to Paris by coach.
