From Paris: Normandy D-Day Omaha Beach & Caen Memorial Small-Group Tour (Hotel Pickup)

Our guide Cyrus was superb. He was a font of knowledge on the region and its military and social history. We had a very comfortable Mercedes van with one other couple. Prepare yourself for a long day and charge your phone. The Normandy beaches are important and beautiful. They are a must see, but strap yourself in for a long but fascinating day. By the way, unpack your emotions. The flag lowering at the American cemetery brought me to tears

We had the most wonderful experience with our tour guide Maria and driver Alex. We got so much information from Maria and she answered our many questions patiently. She was kind, funny and she directed us to a terrific lunch. It was a wonderful little restaurant. Alex drove well and safely and stopped at a rest area on the way there and back. They made a long ride enjoyable!

Eli and Nicholi were fantastic on the trip. We went to every place smoothly and received a lot of historical information.

Excellent trip. Our driver, Yuni, was terrific. One complaint I have was that we booked the small group trip but a few days before the trip we were contacted by the tour company and told “because nobody else booked the tour our only choice was to either cancel or pay 100 euros more to make it a private tour”. Since it was too late to book a different tour, I paid the surcharge. I felt like it was a bit extortive to do that to a customer at the last minute but I didn’t have any other options to see Normandy and this is likely the only time I would come to France. The price was already quite high before the surcharge. The private tour ended up being very nice though and like I said, our driver was excellent.

Ivan was a delightful driver for our day trip to Normandy. This was not a tour where the guide talked for 13 hours. He was considerate of our group, of 7 women and opened car doors, ensured bathroom stops, secured a lunch location for us. He provided a podcast in English before each event. He was thoughtful and considerate. He made sure we were clear on directions into each venue and where he would meet us afterwards. Ivan was so kind and felt like a friend by the end of the day. We would highly recommend this tour.
