Kiruna to Abisko Laktatjakka Waterfall Trail Small Group Tour with Bjorkliden Lunch

Set out from Kiruna
to Abisko and the Låktatjåkka waterfall

This small-group tour of about 7 hours leaves Kiruna early in the morning and takes in Abisko, Björkliden and Låktatjåkka in one day. Along the way you walk to the Bessejohka lakeshore, Abisko Canyon, the Silver Waterfall and the Låktatjåkka waterfall. The group has a maximum of 8 people and the guide speaks English or Polish.

Walk the lakeshore and Abisko Canyon

At the first stop, Bessejohka, you walk down to the shore of Lake Torneträsk and breathe in the fresh mountain air. You then continue to Abisko National Park to walk along Abisko Canyon, where rushing water has carved deep into the limestone, and follow a scenic downhill path at the Silver Waterfall to see it flow into the lake up close.

Have lunch in Björkliden

Sit down and rest at the Björkliden Hotel restaurant, take in the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and enjoy a hearty lunch. Lunch is included in the tour.

Hike to the Låktatjåkka waterfall and enjoy local snacks

In the afternoon you take a short hike to the picturesque waterfall at Låktatjåkka. The guide shares the photos taken with a professional camera during the day afterwards. After enjoying traditional local snacks and a warm drink out on the wilderness, you ride back to Kiruna in about 1 hour 45 minutes.
