Explore the lakes and peaks of the Dolomites
in one day by small van
Meet your guide at your accommodation or the designated meeting point and head to the Dolomites in a van shared by up to 8 people. The Dolomites are a mountain range in northeastern Italy lined with limestone peaks, inscribed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2009. You follow a loop route linking Lake Auronzo, Lake Misurina and Lake Braies, and at each stop you can choose to just take a quick photo or get out and take a walk.
Your guide is not just a driver but a certified environmental guide (GAE) who explains the nature and history of each place along the way. When possible, you also receive a drone video of yourself.
Visit Lake Auronzo and Lake Misurina
First, stop for photos at Lake Auronzo, whose emerald water stretches along the foot of the mountains. Then move on to Lake Misurina, at about 1,750 m above sea level, and walk along the shore while admiring the surrounding peaks reflected in the water.
Stop at an animal farm with cows, horses and yaks
Visit a stable in a mountain village and meet local animals such as cows, horses and yaks up close. It is a chance to feel the pastoral atmosphere of the Alpine mountains.
Admire turquoise Lake Braies and the view of the Tre Cime
At Lake Braies, the highlight of the tour, take photos against the turquoise water and the rocky mountains rising behind the lake, and enjoy a short trek around it. Then stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks of Lavaredo), the symbol of the Dolomites.
Stroll through the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo
Finally, explore the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the mountain resort known as the 'Queen of the Dolomites'. It is also a co-host of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. Enjoy a relaxed walk through its mountain-framed streets before returning to the pickup point.
