Ride a Mercedes minivan
from Venice to the Dolomites
Depart from the meeting point of your option: Tronchetto in Venice (8:30 AM) or Mestre Station (9:00 AM). Up to 8 travelers ride in a premium Mercedes-Benz vehicle, and the English- and Italian-speaking driver shares stories of the valleys you pass.
Visit Titian's hometown and Lake Auronzo
The first stop is Pieve di Cadore, hometown of the Venetian Renaissance painter Titian. Take a 30-minute break at the historic Caffè Tiziano and soak up the atmosphere of the Alpine village square. Then stop at Lake Auronzo for a 45-minute walk along the shore, surrounded by pine forests and mountain peaks.
Enjoy lunch at Lake Misurina facing the Tre Cime
At Lake Misurina, 1,754 m above sea level, you can see the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the Sorapiss massif. Spend about 1.5 hours having a traditional Alpine lunch at a local restaurant (paid on site) and strolling around the lake.
Walk Cortina d'Ampezzo and stop at a cheese farm
In the early afternoon, spend about 1 hour in Cortina d'Ampezzo browsing boutiques and craft shops along Corso Italia. On the way back, stop for about 20 minutes at Talamini Farm (Azienda Agricola Talamini) to taste or buy cheese made in the traditional mountain way (tasting and purchases at your own cost). Then return to Mestre/Venice.
