A wonderful and interesting tour of Ishigaki! Our tour guide, Makoto, was extremely friendly and shared lots of interesting information about Ishigaki, the island, and its sights. What I particularly appreciated was that we had plenty of time at each stop to explore at our own pace and take photos. The tour was well organised and never felt rushed. Many thanks to Makoto for such a great experience! I would definitely recommend this tour.

Die Ganztagestour hat aufgrund zu weniger Buchungen leider nicht stattgefunden. Stattdessen konnten wir zwischen verschiedenen Alternativen vom Anbieter wählen und haben uns für eine Kanutour am Vormittag und die Halbtages Photo Sightseeing Tour am Nachmittag entschieden. Beides hat uns wirklich gut gefallen. Bei der Kanutour war Petro unser Guide. Er hat uns viele Infos über den Fluss und die Tiere dort gegeben und war sehr sympathisch. Makoto war bei der Nachmittagstour unser Guide. Sie war auch super sympathisch und hat uns einige tolle Spots auf der Insel gezeigt. Insgesamt war die Halbtagestour für uns uns ausreichend, da man an den meisten Stopps wirklich nur recht kurz verweilt und dann weiterfährt. Die Fahrt mit dem Glasbodenboot war auch sehr spannend und eine schöne Abwechslung. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

Tour guide Diego provided a lot of information and was easy to understand. The places we visited were busy but worth the stop. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate so we were unable to do some activities.

Tour the highlights of Ishigaki Island
in one day with a local guide

Meet your guide in front of the Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal or at a designated hotel in southern Ishigaki to start the tour. Over about 7 hours 30 minutes, explore the island's scenery and local culture, and receive the high-quality photos your guide takes throughout the tour for free afterwards.

Walk through the mangrove forest of Nagura Bay

The first stop is the lush mangrove forest along Nagura Bay. Take photos in the peaceful natural setting and learn about the mangrove ecosystem.

Ride a glass-bottom boat at Kabira Bay

At Kabira Bay, awarded three stars by the Michelin Green Guide, ride a glass-bottom boat across the emerald water and observe coral reefs and tropical fish.

View the sea from a lighthouse and an observation deck

Head to the cliffs on the west of the island and enjoy sweeping views of the East China Sea from the lighthouse. It is a great photo spot. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore downtown Ishigaki and have lunch; your guide will recommend local restaurants. After lunch, look out over both the Pacific Ocean and the East China Sea from an observation deck surrounded by tropical plants.

Visit a Yaeyama palm forest and a shisa garden

Walk through a forest of rare Yaeyama palms and feel the subtropical jungle atmosphere. Take photos at a garden with many different shisa (Okinawan guardian statues), then return to your hotel or the port to end the tour.
