We really enjoyed our day! The snorkeling was nice due to weather the location was changed but only after we approved everything :) Got lucky and even saw a turtle and swam with it around us. Both guides whether for the snorkeling or SUP were excellent, would recommend for anyone who wants to make the most out of their day on ishigaki. Also ask the guides for recommendation’s everything they told us about was excellent :)

We had an amazing time on our tour. Our tour guide, Makoto was full of enthusiasm. On our way to the beach she gave us information of sights, she made sure we were all safe and OK. She showed us some things during the snorkeling such as a Sea Turtle and Sea slug, and also has a great sense of humor. The experience overall was amazing and we’d totally do it again!!

Enjoy the mangrove forest of the Miyara River and the Blue Cave on Ishigaki Island in one day. In the morning, choose SUP or canoe and paddle through a lush mangrove forest designated as a national natural monument of Japan. In the afternoon, head to the Blue Cave and discover the underwater scenery while snorkeling. Instructors certified as water rescuers accompany you, so first-timers can join with peace of mind.

Explore the Miyara River mangroves
and the Blue Cave in one day

Meet your instructor at the Euglena Ishigaki Port Ferry Terminal to start the tour. The tour suits all skill levels, and your instructor keeps you safe while letting you explore freely. Choose either the SUP course or the canoe course when booking.

Paddle through the natural-monument mangrove forest by SUP or canoe

Drive about 15 minutes from the terminal to the Miyara River. For about 1 hour, paddle quietly by SUP or canoe through a lush mangrove forest designated as a national natural monument of Japan and take in Ishigaki's natural scenery.

Snorkel at the Blue Cave after a break

After the mangrove activity, return to the terminal and take a break for about 2 hours 15 minutes. Then drive about 30 minutes to the Blue Cave, snorkel for about 1 hour, and return to the terminal where the tour ends.

Instructors certified as water rescuers accompany you

The operator PiPi is certified as an "Excellent Safety Marine Leisure Provider" by the Okinawa Prefectural Public Safety Commission, and all guides are certified water rescuers. Life jackets and snorkeling gear are provided, and you can borrow a wetsuit if you wish. Hot showers are available after the tour.

Meet at the Ishigaki Port Ferry Terminal. Guests staying in the southern area of Ishigaki Island (from ANA InterContinental in the west to Fusaki Resort in the east) can use a free shuttle. There are no restrooms near the meeting point, so please use one beforehand. The tour returns to the terminal at the end.
