Full of things to see and enjoy
Osaka Expo Commemoration Park
Osaka Expo Commemoration Park was created on the site of the Expo held in Osaka in 1970. It is a beautifully maintained park with plenty of things to see and do, including cafes and restaurants.
Starting with the garden that utilizes the wide grounds, there are facilities where you can learn about the cultures of Japan and other countries around the world, such as the Osaka Japanese Folk Crafts Museum and the National Museum of Ethnology, so it is a great place to spend time looking around, making it one of the places you can't miss when traveling to Osaka!
The Tower of the Sun welcomes you
Osaka Expo Commemoration Park
Osaka Expo Commemoration Park's mascot, the Tower of the Sun, is a gigantic sculpture that stands a whopping 70m tall. It is a famous landmark that appeared in Crayon Shin-chan the Movie and 20th Century Boys! When you enter the entrance, be sure to take a commemorative photo with the Tower of the Sun before you begin your tour.
If you take the Osaka Monorail and get off at Expo'70 Kinen-Koen Station and exit through the park's east exit, you'll see the Tower of the Sun right away, so it'll be easy to find your way!
Various flower festivals
The Japanese garden that the Expo Commemoration Park is proud of has many flower festivals held every season because various kinds of flowers bloom in full bloom. In June, you can see the lotus festival from early morning, and in July, you can enjoy the fragrant scent of various flowers while viewing them, such as the sunflower festival! Please refer to the official website for various event information.
Cafes and restaurants
Good news for those who are tired from exploring the large park! There are more than 10 cafes and restaurants scattered throughout the park to relieve fatigue, so it is a good idea to stop by during your tour. The park is very large, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes! You can see the park map in Korean here.
