Explore a historic war bunker
Departing from the northern coast of Da Nang, we arrive at Hai Van Pass, one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Vietnam. At the top, we will take a short break to explore the remains of war bunkers and take in the breathtaking view of the open sea and mountains.
After arriving, visit the most central site, the Citadel. This complex palace complex, which includes the Forbidden City, the Emperor's residence, gardens, pavilions, and gatehouses, is a legacy of the Nguyen Dynasty built between 1804 and 1833, and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After lunch, take a leisurely boat ride on the Perfume River that runs through Hue, and arrive at the beautiful riverside temple, Thien Mu Pagoda. This is a historic Buddhist temple built in 1601, and is also a historically significant site, as it displays the vehicle of a monk who set himself on fire in protest of the South Vietnamese government’s suppression of Buddhism in 1963.
The last stop on the itinerary is the Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, built in harmony with nature. Designed according to the principles of Feng Shui, this royal tomb boasts a unique aesthetic that combines traditional Vietnamese style with Western architectural beauty. With its elaborate interior decoration, this is a place to end your Hue trip in a quiet and calm atmosphere.
