Aguraya Story
Nestled in the vibrant streets of Shinjuku's Kabukicho, "Aguraya" specializes in soft-shelled turtle (suppon) and pufferfish (fugu) cuisine, boasting 50 years of history. Using fresh soft-shelled turtle directly from contracted farmers in Shizuoka Prefecture, they offer dishes prepared using traditional methods and meticulous craftsmanship.
The restaurant's name, "Aguraya," means "sit comfortably with your legs crossed," embodying the desire for guests to enjoy luxurious cuisine without feeling burdened. Indeed, you can enjoy a private meal in a calm and elegant space that will make you forget the hustle and bustle of Kabukicho.
