Discover Green Island and the Outer Reef
in one day by catamaran

Start your day at the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns with tea, coffee and a safety briefing. Depart at 8:30 AM on an air-conditioned high-speed catamaran and arrive at your first stop, Green Island, about 45 minutes later, with morning tea and cake served on the way.

Snorkel and explore Green Island

Spend about 2 hours in the rainforest-covered Green Island National Park. Snorkeling gear is included, so you can snorkel in the sea or explore the island on a self-guided walk and observe marine life. Scuba diving and parasailing are available at extra cost.

Get close to the reef at the Moore Reef pontoon

Travel about 45 minutes more to the Great Adventures activity platform moored at Moore Reef on the Outer Reef. For about 3 hours, swim among coral gardens using snorkeling gear, buoyancy vests and lycra suits, or view the reef without getting wet on a semi-submarine reef tour and at the underwater observatory.

Enjoy a marine biologist reef presentation, a fish feeding presentation and an eco reef talk in the underwater observatory. Scuba diving, underwater scooters and helicopter flights are available as optional extras.

Enjoy a lunch buffet with panoramic views

On the platform, enjoy a lunch buffet of hot and cold dishes including fresh prawns. Afternoon tea and coffee are served while you are on the platform, and cheese and biscuits are served on the roughly 1.5-hour return trip to Cairns.
