Board an air-conditioned catamaran at the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns and cruise for about 1.5 hours to your first stop, the Sunlover Moore Reef pontoon. In one day, you experience both a Great Barrier Reef pontoon and a national park island.

Explore underwater at Moore Reef pontoon

At the pontoon, snorkel in crystal-clear water with snorkeling gear including a lycra suit and life jacket, and learn about the reef from a marine naturalist. The glass-bottom boat, semi-submersible tour and underwater observatory let you see the underwater world without getting wet.

Splash down the pontoon's waterslide, while little ones can play safely in the enclosed ocean swimming pool. The pontoon also has a full bar (at your own expense).

Enjoy a buffet lunch at Zephyr's Restaurant

Cruise for about 45 minutes to Fitzroy Island. Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch at Zephyr's Restaurant at Fitzroy Island Resort, overlooking Welcome Bay.

Explore Fitzroy Island at your own pace

After lunch, spend about 2 hours walking the national park trails without a guide, swimming at the beach or simply relaxing. Snorkeling gear is not provided on Fitzroy Island. Island activities such as kayak tours, guided nature walks or a visit to the turtle rehabilitation center are available on request at extra cost. At the end of the day, cruise back to Cairns in about 50 minutes.
