to Fitzroy Island
Depart at 8:00 am on the Fitzroy Flyer ferry from Berth 20 at Marlin Wharf in Cairns. After about 45 minutes across the water, you arrive at Fitzroy Island and have about 1 hour of free time before the snorkel safari.
Join a guided snorkel safari
Meet at FISH at 9:55 am for the guided snorkel safari starting at 10:00 am. For about 105 minutes, explore the crystal-clear water full of colourful coral and marine life with a guide and observe the reef up close.
Enjoy free time on the beach and in the rainforest
After the snorkel safari, you have more than 5 hours of free time. Snorkel gear is available until 4:00 pm so you can enjoy the water as much as you like, or relax on pristine beaches and hike the lush rainforest trails. You can buy lunch at the island bar and café overlooking Welcome Bay, and other activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding are also available on the island.
Return to Cairns by ferry
Take the ferry departing the island at 5:00 pm back to Marlin Wharf in Cairns to end your day.
