Board a catamaran
to the Outer Reef platform

Board an air-conditioned semi-submersible catamaran at the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal and head into the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Tea, coffee and morning tea cake are included.

Your destination is a spacious activity platform moored on the outer edge of the reef, where marine life is especially diverse. You will stay here for about 3 hours, enjoying a buffet lunch and a range of on-board and in-water activities.

Snorkel the coral gardens right from the platform

Step straight off the platform into coral gardens full of tropical fish and marine life. Snorkeling equipment is included, and you can look out for Wally, the friendly fish that lives on this reef.

If you prefer to stay dry, take the air-conditioned semi-submersible reef discovery tour or visit the underwater observatory and enjoy the underwater world with expert commentary. A reef eco talk is also included.

Look down on the reef from a helicopter

The tour includes a 10-minute scenic helicopter flight. Enjoy panoramic views of the coral reefs and ocean of the Great Barrier Reef from above. At the end of the day, return to the meeting point by catamaran.
