Cairns Sunlover Moore Reef Half-Day Snorkeling & Helicopter Tour

Travel to the Moore Reef pontoon
by catamaran or helicopter

Check in at the Sunlover Reef Cruises desk at the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal before departure. Depending on your option, cruise to the reef by catamaran and return by helicopter, or fly by helicopter both ways. A presentation by a marine expert introduces the diversity of the reef and its ecosystem.

Snorkel at the Moore Reef pontoon

Moore Reef, on the outer Great Barrier Reef, is full of soft corals and marine life. Spend about 2 hours on the multi-level pontoon and explore the underwater world with the included snorkeling equipment (fins, mask, snorkel, lycra suit and life jacket).

See the reef without getting wet

Even non-swimmers can see the coral via the glass-bottom boat, the semi-submersible tour with marine expert commentary, and the underwater observatory. You can also watch the daily fish feeding, soak up the sun on the spacious sundeck, or have fun on the waterslide.

Look down on the reef from a helicopter

After your time at the pontoon, return to Cairns by helicopter while looking down on the Great Barrier Reef from above. With the helicopter both ways option, you also fly out to the reef, saving travel time.
