Sail by catamaran
to Upolu Reef on the Outer Reef
Board a catamaran at Cairns Marlin Marina and sail for about 2.5 hours to Upolu Reef on the edge of the Outer Great Barrier Reef. On the way, enjoy tea and coffee, listen to the safety briefing and take in the ocean views. This is a small-group tour for up to 20 guests.
Snorkel in a marine sanctuary lagoon
Arriving at the lagoon, a marine sanctuary, snorkel in warm, clear and protected waters. It is home to many giant clams, turtles, starfish and a variety of reef fish.
Spot marine life with a guide at two sites
Snorkel for about 2 hours at each of two different sites, and with your guide's help look for marine life such as turtles, reef sharks and rays. Lunch is served on board between snorkeling sessions.
Return to Cairns with snacks
After snorkeling, enjoy local snacks as you sail back to Cairns for about 2.5 hours. As an eco-certified tour, it shares the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and the value of sustainability.

Find the marlin statue on the boardwalk and enter through the gate with the Reef Daytripper sign. The boat is the last one on the right at the end of the jetty. The boat departs at 7:45 AM, so please check in at 7:30 AM. The tour returns to the same place.
