and board the Thunder Jet
Check in at the Watersports kiosk on Steamer Wharf in central Queenstown, listen to the full safety briefing, put on your life jacket and board the boat. Depending on your option, the ride lasts 30 minutes or 1 hour, and the 45-minute option departs from Frankton Marina at 9:00 AM. Lockers are available for your valuables during the experience.

Powered by twin V8 engines, the jet boat crosses Lake Wakatipu and glides along the Kawarau River at up to 95 km/h. Mountain peaks, riverside cliffs and Queenstown's iconic scenery unfold around you, with plenty of photo opportunities.

Hold on tight when your expert driver performs 360-degree spins and sharp turns. Along the way, the driver shares fun local stories in English. You may get a little wet, so dress for the weather.
