Kayak or SUP on horseshoe-shaped
Moke Lake
Just about 20 minutes from Queenstown, Moke Lake shows you the quieter, more peaceful side of Queenstown's nature. Explore the lake by kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP), depending on the option you book.
Travel to the lake by minibus or drive yourself

With the transport option, your guide will pick you up in Queenstown by minibus for the approx. 30-minute ride to Moke Lake. On the way, chat about the area and ask your local expert any questions. If you drive yourself, follow Lake Wakatipu and then a gravel road through a scenic conservation area (20–25 minutes).
Get a safety briefing and head out on the lake

When you arrive at Moke Lake, a team member will give you a safety briefing and key tips. Then head out on the lake, paddle at your own pace, explore the horseshoe-shaped lake and take in the lush natural surroundings. Paddling time is 1.5–2 hours depending on the length of the safety briefing.
Finish with tea and snacks on the lakeshore

Once you're done, return to the shore for tea or coffee, light snacks and refreshments. With the transport option, you'll then ride the minibus back to Queenstown.
