After pickup at your hotel in central Tokyo, travel to Nikko in a private vehicle for about 2 hours. Depending on your option, you will ride in a sedan, premium minivan, Crown or SAI, or commuter van, while your dedicated English-speaking driver-guide handles navigation, parking, and timing. Fuel, highway tolls, parking, and bottled water are included.

Explore Nikko's nature, from the Akechidaira Ropeway
to Kegon Falls

The standard itinerary starts at Nikko National Park (about 30 minutes) and continues to the Akechidaira Ropeway (about 1 hour), Lake Chuzenji, and Kegon Falls. At each stop, you can walk, take photos, and enjoy free time with your guide's commentary. If you wish, you can also add Ryuzu Falls, Yudaki Falls and Lake Yunoko, Senjogahara Marshland, or Kirifuri Falls.

Visit World Heritage shrines and temples
such as Toshogu and Rinnoji

Next, explore the Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park (about 1 hour) and visit Nikko Toshogu, Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple, and Shinkyo Bridge. You can also see the Toshogu Museum, Futarasan Shrine, and Kanmangafuchi Abyss if you like. Admission fees are not included and must be paid on site.

Stop wherever you like
and travel at your own pace

The route and stops can be adjusted to your preferences on the day. Stop at a viewpoint or roadside café you like, or spend more time at Toshogu and skip another stop. Optional visits include Edo Wonderland (Nikko Edomura), Tobu World Square, and Jiun-ji, and your guide can recommend places to try Tochigi specialties such as yuba (tofu skin). At the end of the tour, return to Tokyo in about 2 hours.
