Highlights

Leave your Tokyo hotel for
Shinkyo Bridge and Nikko Toshogu
After pickup at your hotel in central Tokyo, travel to Nikko in a premium private vehicle for about 2 hours. Pass the red Shinkyo Bridge (about 30 minutes), which marks the entrance to Nikko's sacred area, and visit Nikko Toshogu (about 1 hour), built to honor Tokugawa Ieyasu. Admire its ornate carvings, gold-leaf decorations, and the famous Three Wise Monkeys while learning about Japanese history.
Explore the World Heritage area,
including Rinnoji and Futarasan Shrine
Visit Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple (about 1 hour), surrounded by tranquil gardens and centuries-old cedar trees. Depending on your plan, you can also visit the Nikko Toshogu Museum and Nikko Futarasan Shrine (about 1 hour each) and the Kanmangafuchi Abyss (about 30 minutes). Admission fees are not included and must be paid on site.
Drive the Irohazaka road to
Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Falls
Climb the winding Irohazaka road while enjoying the mountain scenery. Take in the view from the Akechidaira Ropeway (about 1 hour), then walk and take photos at Lake Chuzenji (about 1 hour), a volcanic lake surrounded by mountains and forests. A short drive away, see Kegon Falls (about 1 hour), where water drops from a height of almost 100 meters.
Optionally add Edo Wonderland
and Tobu World Square
If you wish, add Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura, with Edo-period streets and samurai and ninja shows, Tobu World Square, with miniature replicas of world-famous landmarks, or the Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park. After a day of sightseeing, you can optionally relax at one of Nikko's hot springs. At the end of the tour, return to your Tokyo hotel in about 2 hours.
