A guide accompanies you, and round-trip transportation and highway tolls are included.

Depart Sapporo Station and visit
Tadao Ando's Hill of the Buddha
Meet your guide at the north exit of Sapporo Station and board an air-conditioned coach bound for southern Hokkaido. After passing mountain roads, volcanic terrain and lakes, your first stop is the Hill of the Buddha designed by architect Tadao Ando (about 40 minutes).
Stroll through the tranquil grounds to reach the Buddha statue partially hidden beneath a circular lavender hill. Admire up close a work of architecture that blends art, nature and spirituality.
Stop at Jozankei Futami Park and the Lake Toya observatory

Continue to the hot spring town of Jozankei and walk through Futami Park to see the Futami Suspension Bridge over the Toyohira River (about 40 minutes). Depending on the season, you may see lush greenery, autumn leaves or a snowy valley.
Next, head to the Lake Toya observatory for panoramic views of the caldera lake, Nakajima Island and the surrounding volcanic mountains (about 30 minutes). The area is part of a UNESCO Global Geopark. You then have about 70 minutes of free time by the lake for lunch and a walk. Lunch is not included.
Discover volcanic landscapes at Showa-Shinzan and Mt. Usu

Visit Showa-Shinzan, a lava dome formed by volcanic eruptions in the 1940s (about 60 minutes). If you like, visit the bear ranch or ride the Mt. Usu Ropeway for views over Lake Toya, Showa-Shinzan and the volcanic terrain. Bear ranch admission and ropeway tickets are optional and not included.
Walk through Noboribetsu Hell Valley and return to Sapporo
Explore Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley), one of Hokkaido's best-known geothermal sites (about 40 minutes). Follow the wooden boardwalks past steaming vents, sulfur pools and dramatic volcanic scenery. Afterwards, relax on the coach back to Sapporo; the tour ends at Sapporo Station in the early evening.
※ During peak season, departure times and the itinerary may change due to traffic.
※ Seasonal scenery such as autumn leaves or snow depends on weather and timing and is not guaranteed.
