Depart Sapporo and visit
Fukidashi Park at the foot of Mt. Yotei
In the morning, board the bus at a meeting point in central Sapporo. Your first stop is Kyogoku Fukidashi Park at the foot of Mt. Yotei. Its spring water, selected as one of Japan's 100 best waters, comes from snow and rain on Mt. Yotei, known as Ezo Fuji, filtered underground for decades before rising to the surface.
View the lake from the Lake Toya observatory and Lake Hill Farm

From the Lake Toya observatory, the caldera lake spreads out like a mirror, with Mt. Yotei in the distance (about 80 minutes, including free time).
Next, stop at Lake Hill Farm, a European-style farm on a lakeside hill, to relax with Hokkaido milk ice cream or a warm drink. You will have lunch and free time here (about 30 minutes).
Explore Showa-Shinzan and the bear ranch

In the afternoon, visit Showa-Shinzan, an active volcano that rose from flat land through volcanic activity in the 1940s, and see its lava dome up close. At the Showa-Shinzan Bear Ranch at its foot, watch Hokkaido brown bears play and be fed (about 1 hour). Bear ranch admission is paid separately on site.
Walk through Noboribetsu Hell Valley and return to Sapporo

Finally, visit Noboribetsu Hell Valley (about 40 minutes). Follow the well-maintained paths around a volcanic crater with white steam rising from countless vents, the scent of sulfur and hot spring water flowing through the valley. In the evening, the bus returns to your original meeting point in Sapporo.
