Highlights
This full-day tour takes you by boat from Naha to the Kerama Islands to enjoy crystal-clear water at three different snorkeling spots. With qualified instructors, you'll see coral reefs and colorful marine life in the waters around Tokashiki, Zamami, Kuroshima and Maejima Islands. Snorkeling gear, wetsuit, boat coat and towel are all included, and you'll also receive digital photos taken during the tour. Hotel pickup and drop-off in Naha City are included for a hassle-free day.
Program
Get picked up in Naha
and head to the Kerama Islands
You will be picked up by car from your selected hotel or designated location in Naha City and taken to the port (about 30 minutes). The boat departs at 8:00 AM, and a speedboat ride of about 1 hour brings you to the waters of Keramashoto National Park. Free water and tea are served on board, and seasickness medicine is available on request.
Snorkel at three different spots
Visit three popular snorkeling spots in the Kerama Islands with your instructors. You will spend about 1.5 hours at the first and third spots and about 2.5 hours at the second spot including lunch time, observing coral reefs and colorful marine life.
All snorkeling equipment is provided, and all staff are qualified instructors trained in first aid. For safety, you must wear a wetsuit or life jacket, and swim rings can be borrowed free of charge (reservation required).
Relax on the boat and admire the Kerama Blue
Relax on a large boat while enjoying the beautiful sea around Tokashiki, Zamami, Kuroshima and Maejima Islands. In August and September, you can enjoy shaved ice inspired by the famous "Kerama Blue" sea. Lunch is not included, so please bring a packed lunch.
In winter, the water temperature is about 22°C and the air temperature about 20°C. If it is cold, a 3mm hooded vest and a warm coat are provided. Events such as mochi pounding (rice cake making) are held during the New Year holidays.
Whale watching in winter
From January 12 to March, whale watching is offered for a limited period. After the tour, the speedboat takes you back to Naha in about 1 hour, and you will be dropped off by car at your pickup hotel or designated location in Naha City.
