A sea walk experience in Onna, Okinawa: take a boat out to sea, put on a special helmet and walk on the seabed. Inside the helmet you breathe naturally through your nose and mouth just like on land, so even non-swimmers and first-timers can join. Your face stays dry and most of your hair stays dry too. Follow the instructor along the seabed to see tropical fish and coral up close, and capture the underwater scenery with a free GoPro rental.

Program

Take a boat
to the sea walk spot in Onna

Before departure, the instructor explains the preparation steps and safety rules in detail. In summer, you usually join in your swimsuit. Then you take a boat to the sea walk spot, enjoying views of the Onna coastline and clear sea.

Put on a special helmet
and climb down the ladder to the seabed

At the spot, the instructor and captain set up the sea walk ladder and check that all equipment is safe and comfortable before you enter the water. With the instructor's help, guests climb down the ladder slowly one at a time to reach the seabed. No scuba diving skills or swimming ability is needed.

Walk on the seabed
and meet tropical fish and coral

Once everyone is on the seabed, you follow the instructor on a leisurely walk. Colorful tropical fish often come close, and you can spot coral, sea cucumbers, starfish and other creatures hiding among the rocks and sand. You can film the underwater scenery with a free GoPro rental (SD card not included).
