Rather than a formal setting, you meet a sushi chef who works at an operating restaurant in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Your guide introduces the session and briefly explains what to expect.

Watch the chef and follow along

The chef demonstrates nigiri techniques right in front of you, and you follow each step yourself. Practice shaping the rice, handling the fish and pressing each piece together. Your guide translates your questions to the chef so you can refine your technique with direct feedback, and the class lasts 90 minutes.

Taste the 7 pieces of sushi you made

By the end of the session, you will be able to make nigiri from start to finish on your own. Finish the class by tasting the 7 pieces of sushi you made with tea or water, and enjoy an optional sake tasting if you like.
