Explore the Lama Temple (Yonghe Temple), Beijing's best-known Tibetan Buddhist temple, with a fast-track ticket. Once the residence of Emperor Yongzheng before he took the throne, it became an imperial palace and then a temple in 1744 under Emperor Qianlong, and its architecture blends Han, Manchu, Tibetan and Mongolian styles. Your ticket covers all main temple buildings and cultural exhibitions, including the 18-meter sandalwood Buddha listed in the Guinness World Records since 1990.

Skip the ticket office line and explore the main temple buildings and cultural exhibitions at your own pace. This is an entry ticket without a guide or audio guide. Before entering, show your ticket at the designated entrance lane and pass the security check.

The Lama Temple was built in 1694, the 33rd year of Emperor Kangxi's reign. Originally the residence of Emperor Yongzheng before he took the throne, it was converted into an imperial palace in 1725 and became a Tibetan Buddhist temple in 1744 under Emperor Qianlong.

The complex includes three archways, the Yonghe Gate, the Yonghe Palace, the "Four Study Halls" (medicine, mathematics, esoteric Buddhism and lectures) and three exhibition halls. The blend of Han, Manchu, Tibetan and Mongolian styles is a unique feature of the site.

The halls display numerous Buddha statues, thangkas and precious relics. Don't miss the 18-meter sandalwood Buddha, listed in the Guinness World Records since 1990.
