This ground-level ticket lets you admire the Hanging Temple (Xuankong Temple), built as if suspended from a cliff on Mount Heng in Shanxi Province, from the valley below. The temple has stood for more than 1,500 years and is a unique structure that brings together Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. Walk along the valley path and look up at how the temple is balanced on the cliff using rock caves and wooden pillars. You can enter directly with your passport or a QR code, but climbing the upper temple is not included.

This is a ground-level ticket for the Hanging Temple, giving you access to the scenic park area at the bottom of the gorge. Walk along the well-kept valley path right below the cliff and look up at how ancient craftsmen used natural rock caves and wooden pillars to build the temple on the steep cliff.

From the ground-level viewing area, you can fit the entire temple, the huge cliff face and the Chinese characters carved into the rock into a single photo. It is an angle you cannot get from inside the temple, making it a great spot for panoramic shots. You can stroll at your own pace along the foothills and riverbed.

Enter directly by scanning your physical passport or QR code. Your park entry for the day is secured in advance, so you don't need to wait to buy tickets on site.
※ Climbing the upper temple is not included, so you cannot access the wooden stairs, cliff corridors or the temple interior.
※ The climbing area has a strict daily visitor limit and the wait can be long.
