This entry ticket lets you explore the Yungang Grottoes in Datong, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, at your own pace. Admire thousands of Buddha statues dating back to the 5th century and Chinese cave art from the 5th–6th centuries up close. The tricky local real-name registration and booking, which can be difficult for foreign travelers, is handled for you, and on the day you simply scan your passport to enter. A self-guided itinerary based on the cave layout is included so you can see the main caves in order without missing anything.

The Yungang Grottoes are a UNESCO World Heritage Site representing Chinese cave art of the 5th–6th centuries. The local booking system requires real-name registration and often does not support foreign phone numbers or payment methods, so a local administrative support team registers for you in advance to secure your entry time slot. Scan your passport at the main gate to enter directly without queuing for tickets.

A self-guided itinerary based on the actual cave layout is provided. Arrive at the main gate at 9:30 AM, see the earliest styles in Caves 1–4 from 10:00 AM, and explore Caves 5 and 6, with the most elaborate carvings, at 11:00 AM. At 12:30 PM, admire Caves 9–13, known as the "Five Colors" caves for their vivid colors.

At 1:30 PM, arrive at Cave 20, home to the iconic 13.7m-tall giant Buddha. The itinerary ends around 2:00 PM, and you can relax with a stroll around the lakeside park area.
※ The itinerary is a recommendation, and you are free to explore at your own pace.
