Highlights

Depart from Fenfushi
for the South Ari Marine Protected Area
The tour begins with a briefing at Dive Shop Maldives in Fenfushi. It usually runs in the morning, and after the briefing you head by boat to the South Ari Marine Protected Area (SAMPA), a designated whale shark sanctuary.
Learn about whale sharks on the boat
During about 3 hours on the boat, your guide shares interesting facts about the character and behavior of whale sharks. Bottled water and snacks are provided on board.
Snorkel beside whale sharks with your guide
At the spot, you enter the clear water and snorkel for about 1 hour. Following your professional guide, you can swim safely with the gentle whale sharks. A snorkeling set is provided, and a life jacket is available if needed. After snorkeling, you return to Dive Shop Maldives where the tour ends.
