Leave in the afternoon to enjoy
sunset and starlight on the Uyuni Salt Flats
The tour starts at 4:30 PM at the operator's office, with pickup available from your hotel in Uyuni, the airport or the bus terminal. On the way to the salt flats you can see the surrounding nature and wildlife. You return to Uyuni around 10 PM.
Take reflection photos on the flooded salt flats
When you arrive at the salt flats, head to an area with water and take perspective photos against the reflection of the sky (mirage effect). You can walk on the water in the rain boots provided. The reflection can be seen during the rainy season from December to April.
Watch the sunset and capture the stars
Enjoy snacks while watching the sun set over the salt flats. When it gets dark, take photos under a sky full of stars, hoping to see the Milky Way.
