Program
Depart Uyuni at 4:00 PM
for the heart of the salt flats
The tour starts with hotel pickup in Uyuni at 4:00 PM or, if arranged in advance, a meeting at the Skyline Traveller Uyuni office. Travel by 4WD vehicle to the center of the salt flats with a driver-guide who speaks Spanish. The tour runs in a small group of up to 7 people.
Watch the sun set over the salt flats
From a viewpoint, watch the sky change color as the sun goes down. Photo and video shooting with your phone or camera is included, so you can capture the sunset scenery.
See the stars over the salt flats with little light pollution
After sunset, experience the stillness of the salt flats at night. With very little light pollution, it's a great place to observe the southern sky and take photos of the Milky Way and constellations. In the rainy season you may see the mirror effect when conditions allow, and in the dry season the vast plain stretches out under the night sky. The tour ends around 9:00 PM with a return to your hotel or town.
