Depart from Vang Vieng town
to the Nam Song River kayak starting point
Meet at the pickup point in Vang Vieng town and travel about 6 km north to the kayak starting point (Ban Viengsamai village). Before kayaking, your guide explains basic paddling techniques, how to keep yourself safe if the kayak capsizes in the rapids, and the history of the Nam Song River.
Paddle down the Nam Song River through small rapids
Kayak downstream along the Nam Song River. As you pass through several small rapids, enjoy the mountain peaks on both banks and the sight of local fishermen at work on the river.
Relax by the riverside and enjoy Vang Vieng's nature
Take a short break on the riverbank and enjoy the natural scenery of Vang Vieng at a relaxed pace.
Enjoy cave tubing and a Nam Song River zipline too
Float into a cave on a tube and explore the inside along the water, then ride a zipline over the Nam Song River. After the tour, you will be dropped off at the same place as the pickup point.
