From Nam Song River kayaking to Blue Lagoon 2
all in one day
Depart from your hotel in Vang Vieng or a pre-arranged pickup point and travel about 30 minutes by local tuk-tuk to the first activity. This is a shared group tour, and transport may be by minivan, car or tuk-tuk depending on the number of participants. The full-day option runs in the order of kayaking, cave tubing and hiking, lunch, and Blue Lagoon 2, though the order may change depending on the day.
Kayak down the Nam Song River
At the kayaking starting point, your kayaking guide explains how to paddle. You then head down the Nam Song River for about 40 minutes, gliding through several small rapids and enjoying the riverside views. The kayaking-only option includes only kayaking (about 45 minutes to 1 hour) and hotel pickup and drop-off.
Go tubing and hiking at Tham Chang Cave
At the Tham Chang Water Cave, you sit on a tube and pull yourself through the cave along fixed ropes for about 20 minutes. Then you hike to Tham Chang Cave and walk through it. After the cave, you have lunch.
Swim and relax at Blue Lagoon 2
After lunch, you head to Blue Lagoon 2 and stay for about 1 hour. After guidance and a safety briefing, you can sit back and relax or jump into the natural pool to cool off. At the end of the day, you return to your hotel in Vang Vieng or the pre-arranged pickup point.
※ The order of activities may change depending on the weather, river conditions, traffic and local operating conditions.
※ If it rains heavily or the water is high from mid-June to mid-September, kayaking may be replaced by a long-tail boat ride for safety.
