Taman Dukuh is an organic farm cooking school in Taro village, north of Ubud. This advanced class of about 5 hours is designed for those who love cooking and want to master authentic Balinese dishes. The class is run in English, can be tailored to dietary needs, and comes with a cookbook.

Discover ingredients at the farm and market

After the shuttle ride from the Ubud meeting point, the day begins with a farm tour. The morning class adds a local market tour at 08:00, where you can see the ingredients used in Balinese cooking.

Cook authentic Balinese dishes with local chefs

Learn how to work with traditional Balinese spices and cooking techniques from local chefs who are masters of Balinese cuisine, and do everything yourself from preparation to cooking. You also learn the cultural significance behind each dish, then sit down together for a communal meal of what you made.

Class schedule

Morning class: 07:30 pick-up, 08:00 market tour, 09:00 farm tour, 09:45 cooking class, 13:15 leaving the farm. Afternoon class: 12:30 pick-up (13:30 farm tour, 14:15 cooking, 18:00 leaving). Evening class: 16:00 pick-up (17:00 farm tour, 17:45 cooking, 21:00 leaving).
