Autumn Special Exhibition
"From the Ancient Orient to Iwami Ginzan"

A special exhibition held ahead of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Iwami Ginzan and the 20th anniversary of its World Heritage listing in 2027. Through ornaments and silver vessels of the Ancient Orient, a variety of coins and materials related to Iwami Ginzan, it traces how silver has connected people and the world, from humanity's first encounter with metals to early modern Japan. It is the first exhibition in Tokyo to fully introduce Iwami Ginzan.
