After a shared pickup from your hotel in the Kathmandu Valley by electric tourist vehicle, drive about 1 hour to Bhaktapur. As this is a group tour, pickup may be slightly delayed while other participants are collected from several hotels.
Walk the temples and alleys of Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Spend about 2 hours walking with your guide through Bhaktapur, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Kathmandu Valley. Pass centuries-old temples, courtyards, and alleys lined with traditional Newar houses, and visit the 55-Window Palace, Nyatapola Temple, the Golden Gate, Dattatreya Square, and Pottery Square, where artisans still shape pottery by hand.
See the Himalayas from the hills of Nagarkot
A drive of about 40 minutes from Bhaktapur brings you to the hill village of Nagarkot at 2,175 m, where you'll stay for about 1 hour. Take in a Himalayan panorama including Mount Everest, Langtang, and Ganesh Himal from the viewpoint, and relax and take photos in the fresh mountain air. Then return to your hotel in Kathmandu in about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
