Highlights
This cultural experience in Naha lets you wear Ryuso, Okinawa's traditional costume, and make your own furoshiki, a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth. Choose your favorite Ryuso from a variety of designs, from bold eye-catching patterns to classic traditional motifs, and create a one-of-a-kind furoshiki with the fabric of your choice. Wearing your Ryuso and carrying your furoshiki bag, you'll stroll around town for 3 hours and can stop by the beach and restaurants. Inspired by Ryukyu Kingdom-era clothing, the costumes are light and cool, so they stay comfortable even for long periods.

The experience starts at the Ryusoen shop in Matsuo, Naha. With designs ranging from bold, eye-catching patterns to classic traditional motifs, everyone can enjoy it regardless of gender.
Choose and wear your favorite Ryuso
These original costumes are inspired by Ryukyu Kingdom-era clothing, offering a modern take on the traditional dujin (top/jacket) and kakan (skirt). Dressing takes about 30 minutes, and staff help you coordinate your outfit. They're cool and light, so you can move comfortably for a long time.
Learn furoshiki and make your own bag
Learn the basics of furoshiki, the traditional Japanese wrapping cloth, and make your own one-of-a-kind furoshiki using the fabric you like.
Stroll around town in Ryuso for 3 hours
Explore the town for 3 hours wearing your Ryuso and carrying your furoshiki bag. Stop by the beach and restaurants and enjoy your time on the island dressed the Okinawan way. Meals are paid separately.
