The experience begins at a traditional costume shop passed down through generations. Ryuso is the traditional formal wear of the Ryukyu Kingdom rooted in Okinawa, known for vivid colors such as bright yellow, white, sky blue and pink, and intricate dyed patterns.
Get dressed by an expert and choose hair and makeup
An expert with over 40 years of experience dresses you, so the outfit is comfortable and won't come loose. You can choose hair styling and makeup at no extra cost, which adds about 30 minutes to preparation. For bridal or couple outfits, choose the bridal option.
Stroll around Naha in Ryuso for 2 hours
Once ready, you're free to explore for 2 hours. Walk along Kokusai-dori, visit Naminoue Beach, or even head to southern or central Okinawa. When your time is up, return to the shop and change back into your own clothes.
※ The 2-hour outing starts the moment you leave the shop after dressing.
※ Extensions cost 1,000 yen per hour; please ask the staff on the day.
