• For one-way tickets, passengers can go to the THSR Pass official website after booking and click Manage, Use (select travel date) and Seat Reservation in the main menu.
• Passengers who have not completed seat selection on the pass's official website will not be able to receive tickets.
• The physical ticket, which comes in the form of a magnetic ticket, can be picked up at the train station counter.
• Magnetic tickets can be used to enter the station through automatic ticket gates, but you must have your passport and admission ticket with you.
• If you wish to change your itinerary after your reservation is complete, you can do so on the pass's official website and at the counters at all stations.
• Reservation cancellation is only possible on the pass official website.
• If you cancel an existing reservation and do not make a new reservation, you will not be able to ride the train.

Additional transportation information

• Except for Taipei Main, Nangang, Banqiao, and Zuoying (Kaohsiung) stations, the remaining high-speed rail stations are located far from the city center of the area. Therefore, we recommend using additional transportation when entering the city center.
• To travel between Taoyuan Airport and Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station, you can use the airport railway and shuttle bus . (30NTD/person)
• Free THSR shuttle buses operate from Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Chiayi, and Tainan high-speed rail stations. You can use it by presenting your THSR ticket. Learn more
• Taipei Main, Taichung, Tainan, and Zuoying (Kaohsiung) areas have the same high-speed rail station and TRA train station, allowing direct transfer. View details on official website
• Nangang, Taipei Main, Banqiao, and Zuoying (Kaohsiung) areas can be directly transferred to the subway at THSR Station.
• There is a taxi stand at each high-speed rail station, making it easy to take a taxi.

Notice on changes to reservation process

• As of October 28, 2020, the reservation system has been updated and changed. Please be sure to refer to the reservation changes below.
• You must confirm your reservation and select a seat on the Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR) website using the "Order Number" you received after purchasing your ticket at WAUG to exchange your ticket at the on-site THSR counter. Go to confirm reservation and select seats
• You must bring your passport when exchanging tickets.
• Reservation cancellation, schedule changes and seat selection can only be done on the THSR website. Learn more
• For tickets with seat selection, reservation cancellation and schedule changes can be made before 23:59 PM on the day before boarding or up to 30 minutes before boarding.
• For tickets that do not allow seat selection, cancellation and schedule changes are only possible on D-1 as of the boarding date.
• Customers who have purchased a one-way ticket can cancel or change their reservation an unlimited number of times.

Ticket exchange change notice (effective from January 4, 2021)

• The travel date can be selected within 29 days of making the reservation.
• When exchanging tickets on Friday or Saturday, Sunday will be used as the standard, allowing you to select within 29 days.
• The ticket exchange schedule may change depending on public holidays or special occasions, and any changes will be announced on the THSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail) official website.

• This pass can only be purchased by tourists visiting Taiwan (tourist visa).
• You must bring your passport when exchanging tickets.
• This ticket is for a non-reserved seat vehicle. If you would like to reserve a seat, please confirm your reservation and select a seat on the THSR website.
• If you do not select a seat, seats will be assigned randomly.
• Customers who wish to change their schedule must cancel their existing reservation on the THSR website and then change their schedule.
• Customers who have confirmed their reservation but have not selected a seat must cancel their reservation or change their schedule by 23:59 PM (Taiwan time) on the day before boarding.
• Customers who have confirmed their reservation and selected seats must cancel their reservation or change their schedule at least 30 minutes prior to boarding on the boarding date.
• Changes and refunds are not possible for tickets once the reservation has been confirmed and the ticket has been received.

Information on THSR user eligibility

• Foreigners with a visa to stay in Taiwan for less than 180 days (short-term residents)
• To use the pass and train, you must possess your passport, immigration permit issued by the immigration office, Visa, APEC Business Travel Card, etc. (They are checked randomly on the train).
