BESTWow~ I couldn't find the museum here ㅜㅜ After wandering for 20 minutes, I left it for 5 minutes and turned around in an instant. Be sure to check the entrance of the museum with the guide. If you go with a child, they give you more rice and a bowl of side dishes as a free service~ Full of Taiwanese grandmother's heart♡ People are kind to you~ Even if you don't go into the museum, the promenade is so pretty♡

Meet 220kg of pure gold,
Gold Museum
Jinguashi is a village in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, and was once a gold mine. In the late 20th century, it declined as gold became depleted, but now it has become a tourist attraction and is once again a popular destination. Located here, the Gold Museum houses 99% pure gold weighing 220kg, which attracts many visitors. Even more amazing is that you can actually touch the gold.
The Jinguashi Gold Museum also has a famous miner's bento, which is a special treat to try.

Let's go to the Gold Museum to see the 220kg gold bullion
Jinguashi Gold Museum is a must-visit place when traveling to Taipei. Because it is an old mining area, you can feel like you are in a coal mine, and because the remnants of the Japanese colonial era remain, you can feel like you are in Japan. At the Gold Museum, you can see various mining equipment used in the coal mine and indirectly experience the situation at that time in the video room.
In addition, there are accessories made of gold that are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. Meet a huge gold bar boasting 99.9% purity and weighing 220kg. It is said that good luck will come if you touch this gold bar, so be sure to touch it.
Let me introduce you to how to get to the Jinguashi Gold Museum

The Jinguashi Gold Museum is usually reached directly from downtown Taipei or from Yehliu. So, I will introduce both routes: how to get there from downtown Taipei and how to get there from Yehliu.
1. Moving from downtown Taipei:
You can take bus number 1062 bound for Jinguashi from Exit 1 of Zhongxiao Fuxing.
Travel time: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes
*This bus also visits Jiufen.
2. Moving from Yehliu:
Take bus number 790 or 862 from Yehliu and get off at Keelung (the last stop) - Transfer to bus number 788 from Keelung - Get off at Jinguashi
Interval: Approximately 10 - 15 minutes
Travel time: Approximately 40 minutes
Shall we see the gold weighing 220kg?

The 220kg gold displayed near the exit of the Gold Museum is the highlight of the Gold Museum and the most popular photo spot. There are holes on the left and right where you can put your hands in, so you can touch the gold.
It's also good to experience gold panning

You can also experience gold panning at the Gold Museum, which started to gain popularity when the scene of gold panning appeared in '뭉쳐야 뜬다'.
You can also experience the mine tunnel, where you can visit a mining site about 100m long. This started to be loved when Lee Seo-jin entered the last episode (director's cut) of '꽃보다 할배 대만편'.
You can't miss the miner's lunch box

There are many miner's lunch box shops at the entrance to the Gold Museum. They all say they are the original, but in fact they are all almost the same. The miner's lunch box contains rice, grilled or fried pork ribs, and pickled vegetables. It is not the food that the miners actually ate, but it is a lunch box containing the food that the miners ate. But it's subtly delicious, so it's gaining popularity.
