Kyoto Gion Night Walk
This tour, which has been loved since 2007, is a popular tour with over 100,000 participants! For about 2 hours, you can walk through the streets of Gion at night with an English guide, and if you are lucky, you may even encounter a real geisha. The tour starts in front of a traditional confectionery store near Gion Shijo Station. You can walk through the geisha streets and quiet alleys and see places that have been used as backgrounds in movies and books.
A highly skilled guide will provide an entertaining explanation of geisha culture, their history, kimono and hairstyle, traditional rules, and daily life. If you want to enjoy Kyoto’s nightlife from a different perspective, this is a must-try experience.
