BESTI booked this tour because they said that island hopping is a must when traveling to Kota Kinabalu. As soon as I got on the boat and arrived at Sapi Island, I screamed when I saw the color of the water! 😂😂😂 It was a real emerald color and so transparent that I could see the bottom, and I was surprised to see so many fish. They provided all the snorkeling gear, and the guide fed the fish, so schools of fish swarmed around me. It was really amazing and beautiful! And the guide was also very kind and humorous, so the whole tour was fun. I really recommend it!

We connect the jewel-like islands off the coast of Kota Kinabalu in the most convenient and free way

Sapi Island
Sapi Island means 'Cow Island' in Malay and is located just off the southwestern tip of Gaya Island. This 25-acre island boasts one of the most beautiful beaches in the park and is especially popular for snorkeling and scuba diving. It is somewhat crowded with foreign tourists from 10 am to 4 pm, but after the last ferry leaves, only guests remain and you can feel a secluded and peaceful atmosphere. Basic tourist facilities such as jetties, picnic shelters, barbecue facilities, tables, changing rooms, and toilets are also well equipped.

Manukan Island
Manukan Island is the second largest island in the park and the most popular island for locals in Kota Kinabalu. Beautiful beaches stretch along the southern coastline, and the beach at the eastern end boasts the most outstanding scenery. Coral reefs are formed near the coast, making it an ideal environment for snorkeling, diving, and swimming. It has the most developed tourism infrastructure among the five islands, with 20 chalets, a clubhouse, a restaurant, and a diving center. In addition, it is equipped with various leisure facilities such as swimming pools, soccer fields, volleyball courts, and Sepaktakraw courts, as well as infrastructure such as electricity, desalination facilities, and sewage treatment systems. You can also enjoy trekking courses in the lush nature.

Mamutik Island
Mamutik Island is the smallest island in the park, about 15 acres in size, but it is attractive enough with beautiful beaches and coral reefs. There is a jetty, a 3-bedroom accommodation, and a ranger station, as well as convenience facilities such as changing rooms, toilets, picnic shelters, tables, and barbecue facilities. There is no inconvenience in basic use as fresh water and electricity are supplied, and it is a suitable place for travelers who want a quiet rest in a relatively secluded atmosphere. However, be careful when swimming as there are many sea urchins around the northeastern coral area.
'It's a smart island trip that leaves the comfort of Sutera Harbor instead of a crowded public pier.'
