Peace Memorial Hall
Let's introduce the Peace Memorial Hall, located within the Okinawa Peace Memorial Park. It was built to commemorate the victims of the Battle of Okinawa and pray for eternal peace in the world. The Idea Komadara Butterfly Garden, one of the largest in Japan, is also a must-see attraction, so be sure to visit it as well.

Peace Memorial Hall
This building was built to pray for eternal peace for humanity. Inside, a 12-meter-tall peace statue stands, and its walls are decorated with various paintings on the theme of "war and peace."
War and Peace Painting Exhibition
: Inside the memorial hall, "Mobuni Hill," the fourth painting from the "War and Peace" series, is on display. This work, set against the backdrop of Mobuni Hill, the site of the final fierce battle of the Battle of Okinawa, depicts the whereabouts of the civilians who threw themselves from the cliff, indicated by a red dotted line. Also depicted are the flame tree, said to grow by absorbing tears according to legend, and two ominous birds.
Cheongnachoen (Butterfly Garden)
: This is Japan's largest butterfly garden, where you can encounter Oogo Madara butterflies. Experience nature up close with these beautiful butterflies!
