Korean,EnglishA limited-time cherry blossom season, available only in spring, a day trip from Fukuoka to Kumamoto to see the cherry blossoms.
This tour offers convenient pick-up from either Hakata or Tenjin, ensuring a smooth start. This course focuses on Kumamoto's most famous cherry blossom spots, ensuring a fulfilling day. After an exciting pick-up at Tenjin Station, we head to Kumamoto, where we'll first welcome the peak of spring at Kikuchi Park, where the cherry blossoms unfold like waves. Walking through a pink tunnel created by approximately 3,000 cherry trees, you'll naturally capture memorable photos wherever you are. Seasonal street food stalls also open, offering a chance to savor a simple picnic under the blossoms.
Next stop is Kumamoto Castle, the symbol of Kumamoto. With over 400 years of history, spring descends upon the castle grounds, and the cherry blossoms in full bloom create a truly stunning contrast between the majestic castle walls and the cascading blossoms. After strolling around the castle grounds and admiring the spectacular scenery, there's plenty of time to savor the culinary delights and experiences at nearby Josaien. Experience a truly Kumamoto-style spring day, a feast for the eyes and the palate.
The final stop on our journey is Suizenji Jojuen, a tranquil Japanese garden that shines with beauty. With its tranquil pond and charming hills, a stroll here is a soothing experience, making it a popular spot even outside of cherry blossom season. We especially recommend stopping by Kokin Denju-no-Ma, near the garden entrance, for a quick break with matcha and dessert, then admiring the picturesque garden views from the teahouse. After a long day of cherry blossom viewing, this place offers a chance to re-evaluate your thoughts.
After a stroll through the gardens, we'll return to Fukuoka. You can either get off at the same departure point or, if you prefer, near Maizuru Park, a famous cherry blossom spot in Fukuoka. Famous for its cherry blossom festival and evening illuminations, this is a perfect stop for those who want to end their tour with the sparkling nighttime cherry blossoms.
