San Francisco: Muir Woods & Sausalito Small-Group Tour (Hotel Pickup, 14-Seat Van)

Leave from your hotel and stop
at the Golden Gate Bridge north viewpoint

After pickup at your San Francisco hotel, the tour begins in a 14-seat van. Listen to your guide as you pass through several San Francisco neighborhoods and the Presidio, a former military base, on the way to the Golden Gate Bridge.

After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, stop at the north-side viewpoint to photograph San Francisco Bay and the bridge. Then drive above Sausalito and through parts of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mount Tamalpais State Park while enjoying the scenery.

Walk through the redwood forest at Muir Woods

When you arrive at Muir Woods National Monument, your guide will explain the best ways to explore the forest and where the oldest trees are. Spend about 1 hour 20 minutes seeing most of the forest and visiting the gift shop, café, and visitor center.

Admission is included, so there is no need to buy a separate ticket. Brochures are available on site in Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish.

Enjoy free time in Sausalito

In Sausalito, spend about an hour freely exploring art galleries, shops, cafés, restaurants, and the yacht harbor. You can also enjoy views of the Bay Bridge, parts of the East Bay, and San Francisco.

Return to your hotel or stay longer in Sausalito

After your free time, ride the van back to your San Francisco hotel. If you would like to stay longer in Sausalito, you can end the tour there and return on your own by ferry, taxi, Lyft, or Uber at your own expense.
