Learn how to make ramen and gyoza from a chef who ran a ramen restaurant overseas, at a cooking class space in Nerima, Tokyo. Prepare a marinated soft-boiled egg (nitamago), chashu and toppings, fold and pan-fry your own gyoza, then boil the noodles and master the noodle-draining technique to finish your own bowl of ramen. The class is taught in English with up to 12 participants. Vegetarian ramen can be prepared on advance request, and families with children can enjoy it too.

Ramen & gyoza cooking class
with a ramen chef
This is an indoor cooking class of about 2 hours held at a class space (Room A) in Asahigaoka, Nerima, Tokyo. Your chef instructor ran his own restaurant in Sydney, Australia, and trained at well-known ramen shops in Japan. In this English-language class, you will also hear insider stories and fun anecdotes from the world of ramen.
Prepare soft-boiled eggs, toppings and gyoza

The soup, ramen sauce, aromatic oil, chashu and other basics are prepared in advance. First, make soft-boiled eggs and prepare the ramen toppings. Then chop and mix the gyoza filling, fold the dumplings yourself, add flavor to the chashu, and pan-fry the gyoza until golden.
Boil the noodles and finish your bowl of ramen

Make the broth, boil the noodles and learn the technique of draining the noodles with a flourish. Put the broth and noodles in a bowl and arrange the toppings beautifully to complete your ramen.
Finish the class by tasting the ramen and gyoza you made. All recipes will be sent to you after the class.
※ Making the broth from scratch is not included; the soup is prepared in advance by the host.
※ Vegetarian ramen must be requested in advance; same-day requests cannot be accommodated.
