Depart Sapporo and explore
Otaru and Jozankei in one day

Depending on your option, you depart by bus from Sapporo TV Tower or Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel. You visit Shiroi Koibito Park, Hiyoriyama Lighthouse, Otaru and Jozankei in turn, then enjoy the night view from Mt. Moiwa (Option A) or Asahiyama Memorial Park (Option B) before returning. Time at each attraction may vary depending on traffic and the number of participants on the day.

Stop by Shiroi Koibito Park and Hiyoriyama Lighthouse

At your first stop, Shiroi Koibito Park, spend about 40 minutes watching how Hokkaido's famous sweets are made and taking photos among colorful gardens and European-style buildings. Admission is not included.

Next, at the red-and-white Hiyoriyama Lighthouse overlooking the Sea of Japan, spend about 25 minutes enjoying the sea breeze and the rugged coastline.

Walk along Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street

Spend about 20 minutes at Otaru Canal taking in the canal and old stone warehouses, then enjoy about 2 hours of free time on historic Sakaimachi Street. Meals are not included, so you can have lunch on your own during this time.

Enjoy a footbath in Jozankei Onsen
and end the day with Sapporo's night view

In Jozankei, spend about 40 minutes exploring the hot spring town and enjoying an outdoor footbath. As you only soak your feet, everyone can join, even with tattoos.

With Option A, spend about 100 minutes on Mt. Moiwa, riding the two-stage ropeway to the summit to view Sapporo at night. With Option B, spend about 60 minutes quietly enjoying the night view from Asahiyama Memorial Park, a hilltop viewpoint overlooking Sapporo.
