From Naha: Southern Okinawa & Itoman Fish Market Day Tour - Chinese Guide

Explore the coastal scenery of
southern Okinawa in one day

Depart by bus from a meeting point in Naha and spend about 10 hours touring the southern part of Okinawa Main Island. First, take in the views as you cross the Nirai Kanai Bridge, an approximately 1,200 m S-shaped bridge winding along the coastal cliffs.

Next, look out over the open ocean and the crescent-shaped uninhabited Komaka Island from the observation deck at Cape Chinen Park, then enjoy about 40 minutes of free time at Mibaru Beach.

Discover Gyokusendo Cave and
Kingdom Village at Okinawa World

You will spend about 2 hours at Okinawa World. Walk through Gyokusendo Cave, a limestone cave formed as coral reef eroded over 300,000 years, and exit straight into Kingdom Village, a recreation of an old village from the Ryukyu Kingdom era.

Some of the traditional red-tiled wooden houses are over 100 years old and were relocated here from across Okinawa. Admission to Gyokusendo Cave and Kingdom Village is included.

Enjoy a seafood lunch at Itoman Fish Market

A 30-minute bus ride takes you to Itoman Umanchu Market, where you have about 1 hour for lunch and shopping. Try local seafood such as grilled lobster, raw shrimp, salmon and tuna sashimi, sea urchin, oysters and scallops, as well as Okinawan treats like bakudan onigiri and umibudo (sea grapes). Lunch is not included.

Stop at Senaga Island, Toyosaki or
Ashibinaa Outlet in the afternoon

Senaga Island is a small island right next to the Naha Airport runway, with beachside restaurants and close-up views of planes taking off and landing (about 2 hours). Toyosaki is a coastal district with a white sand beach and large shopping centers (about 1 hour), and Ashibinaa Outlet is an outlet mall with over 100 brands plus Okinawan souvenirs and food (about 1.5 hours). At the end of the day, the bus takes about 1 hour to return to the drop-off point.
