Go snorkeling with whale sharks next to a large netted sea enclosure off the coast of Yomitan, Okinawa. The whale sharks stay inside the enclosure while you snorkel outside it, so you can see them up close. The tour runs in small groups of up to 8 people, and a professional guide provides all the gear and stays with you from start to finish, so non-swimmers and beginners can join too. Underwater photos and videos are provided free of charge, and guidance is available in English, Chinese, and Japanese.

Program

Get a safety briefing at Top Marine Zanpa
and set off

Meet your guide at Top Marine Zanpa in Yomitan and receive a short safety briefing before boarding the boat. Your professional guide provides all snorkeling gear, including mask, snorkel, fins, and life jacket, plus a wetsuit if needed. Enjoy the sea views during the boat ride of about 5 minutes.

Meet whale sharks beside the netted enclosure

Snorkeling takes place for about 40 minutes next to a large netted sea enclosure. The whale sharks stay inside the enclosure, and you swim outside it to observe them up close. Touching marine life is not allowed, so please enjoy them with your eyes only.

Get underwater photos and videos for free

Underwater photos and videos taken during the tour are provided free of charge. After snorkeling, return to Top Marine Zanpa by boat in about 5 minutes, where the tour ends.
