Walk the historic streets of Gion in Kyoto with a local guide, then meet a maiko at an ochaya that cannot be entered without an introduction. After hearing about the history and traditions of maiko and geiko around Shirakawa Canal and Hanamikoji Street, watch a maiko and a former geiko perform traditional dances to live music at an ochaya in Miyagawacho. After the performance there is a Q&A, conversation and a photo session with the maiko. Options are also available to see only the maiko show without the walking tour, or to join wearing a kimono.
